Beginning with the Central Region mailing Marketing Teachers will be able to find all major documents or mailings that are produced in this branch on the Kentucky DECA Web Site.

These documents will be available in Acrobat format. When you have downloaded and installed Acrobat Reader (instructions below) you will be able to print or read directly from Netscape or using Acrobat Reader as a stand alone software any of the documents. For you this would be faster and easier than calling and asking for a fax .

You should:

Using Netscape 3.0 or Internet Explorer 3.0 or greater, type in the "Location" line for Netscape or the "Address" line for Internet Explorer www.kydeca.org without the underline. Press enter key.

After the website opening page has loaded, select by clicking with the mouse on the phrase Teacher Resource Page found on the right side of the screen about 1/3 down the page.

After the Teacher Resource Page has appeared on your screen, look to the right of the screen for the image that says "New." Read the sentence and select by clicking the mouse on here.

When the file page appears on your screen you can:

• Click on the document you want and you will be prompted to download the file to your computer
• OR you can download and install Acrobat Reader (a one time only process) which will eliminate the need to download files

Recommended: Download and install Acrobat Reader:

• Click on the Acrobat image on the screen. This will take you to Acrobat Web Site and you follow the instructions given to download Acrobat Reader - THIS IS FREE.
• It is not necessary to register, but it will not obligate you in any way if you do.
• If you registered, click on the Submit button at the bottom of the page.
• If you did not register, click on the Download button at the bottom of the page.
• Scroll down the page until you see the section call "Download Links" Double click on the phrase "ar32e301.exe" if using Windows95. It is shown twice. Select the top one and double click. If you are using Windows 3.1 you should download "ar16e301.exe."
• You will be ask to download the file. Do so. Write down the name of the subdirectory that you used when you download the software.
• Once the software is downloaded, exit Netscape or Internet Explorer.
• Next go to the subdirectory containing the file ( ar32e301.exe or ar16e301.exe) using Windows Explorer or File Manager. Double click on this file and follow the instructions (mostly likely you will accept the default suggestions the software gives).
• If Acrobat is open, close it.
• Restart Netscape or Internet Explorer. You can now following instructions 1-4 and when you choose the document on the Files page you will be able to read or print the document from Netscape or Internet Explorer.
• SAVE these instructions in case you may want to do this later or let one of your students install this for you. This will also work at home if you want to install Acrobat Reader on your home computer.
