| Automotive Services Marketing is a
role-play event. The student is given a description of a specific situation
that measures skills, knowledge and attitudes in automotive services
marketing. Students will be challenged to perform marketing and management
functions and tasks related to service stations and related businesses or
auto parts stores. Roles in these events are those of customers, employees,
supervisors, managers and entrepreneurs.
The student studies the situation for 10-minutes and responds to the issues involved through interaction with a business/industry professional (judge). The role of the student and of the judge will be determined by the specific role-play situation. Preliminary round competition includes one comprehensive exam and one role-plays.
