| Fashion Merchandising Promotion Plan is a
business plan event. Students will have an opportunity to develop a sales
promotion plan, using apparel and accessory items only, for a retail store
and to present the plan to a store manager.
This event consists of outlined promotional fact sheets and the oral presentation. The student will present the fact sheets to the judge in a 20-minute presentation—15 minutes for the student presentation and 5 minutes for judge questions. The judge will evaluate the presentation, focusing on the effectiveness of public speaking and presentation skills and how well the student responds to questions the judge may ask during the presentation.
